Service Description
During your first session with us, we'll start by discussing your goals for the program. Whether you're interested in learning French classical dressage—an approach focused on communication and mutual learning with the horse—or seeking to enhance awareness, manage anxiety and depression, and develop assertive communication skills, we tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs. You'll have the opportunity to explore mindfulness techniques, meditation, and box breathing, understanding how our thoughts influence behaviours and learning strategies to foster a positive mindset and inner balance. Our sessions encompass everything from grooming and tacking up to riding and caring for the horse afterward, emphasizing classical horsemanship where the horse is treated as a respected partner. We prioritize listening to the horse, allowing them to guide us, and engaging all our senses in the riding experience—immersing ourselves in sights, sounds, smells, and tactile sensations. More than just riding, our sessions offer healing, meditation, mindfulness, and profound learning experiences. Additionally, we incorporate activities like archery, kids' golf, and interaction with animals in our petting zoo round pen, providing a serene environment where families, especially those with special needs, can relax and enjoy. Our approach caters to individuals who thrive in a calm, supportive atmosphere, ensuring everyone can participate fully and comfortably.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: 24 Hour Notice / Missed Appointment Policy Due to equine expenses and staff costs for this specialized programming, Riverview maintains a 24 hour cancellation and missed appointment policy that is reviewed upon intake and signed in your initial session. The full fee will be charged for sessions cancelled with less than 24 hour notice. Riverview cannot direct bill any insurance company for either appointments or late cancellation fees. Cancellation 24 - 48 Hours Notice - 50% fee. For severe weather (unsafe riding conditions), temperature below - 15 °C, no cancellation fees apply. Punctuality is extremely important. If you are more than 15 mins late, the session will be cancelled and the full price will be charged.
