Amazing experience - groom your horse, learn to tack up, we start with a mindfulness ride around the block and work on monthly themes like social skills, anxiety, etc, then work in the arena on riding technique. Then untack, feed, groom and put your horse away before visiting the chickens, Chicken Town, the trampoline, visiting the cats or some of the swings. Take home some farm fresh eggs! Learn animal husbandry.

Why Work With Horses

 Equine Assisted Learning is a therapeutic lesson that involves interactions between individuals and horses. It is a holistic approach to mental health and personal development, often used as a complementary, alternative, or integrative  therapy. The focus is on using activities with horses to promote emotional growth, self-awareness, critical life skills, empathy, communication and interpersonal skills, and coping with emotions and stress.  and various therapeutic goals. Wanda is currently 3/4 of the way through her Masters of Counselling Psychology, starting her practicum in September, 2024, to become an Equine Assisted Therapist. Wanda is a current member of PATH -  Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International . She also is a student of the esteemed Anja Beran, who teaches French Classical Dressage (no force) in Bayern, Germany.
